Biography:
Yang Zhi, a character from the classic Chinese novel *Water Margin*, first appears in chapter eleven. He is known by the moniker "Blue-Faced Beast" due to a birthmark on his face.
Formerly a martial arts instructor of the imperial guards in Kaifeng, Yang Zhi loses his position after he loses a shipment of precious birthday stones. He is depicted as highly skilled in martial arts, particularly with a spear and sabre.
Desperate for money, he tries to sell a valuable sabre in the market. This leads to an altercation when a local bully named Niu Er, insists on testing the blade's sharpness, causing a confrontation that ends with Yang Zhi killing him.
